Polyurethane Leather, PU

Leather comes in many different forms. Polyurethane Leather (PU) is split leather that has been overlaid with a polyurethane (PU) coating. It is mostly used on furniture and in apparel. Polyurethane Leather (PU) leather is cheaper to make and has a nice-looking finish, but is not as durable, strong nor thick as full-grain leather. Polyurethane Leather (PU)  products have an artificially consistent texture that is easier to clean and maintain, just like you find with most plastic materials.
